Hello there!

I am putting up this profile for myself. I am a simple, unpretentious person in search of a compatible groom. My friends describe me as someone who takes time to open up but is pretty much a "radio jockey" once there.

I finished my masters in Computer Engineering in 2011 and have been working in the software industry ever since. I recently also graduated with an MBA in Marketing and Data Analytics that I was pursuing on the side since the year 2013.

I actively learn Hindustani Classical music on one side while being part of a band that plays Western and Bollywood songs, on the other. Reading is something I have been and am passionate about.

Being spiritually inclined , I spend some time in prayer and meditation every day. My dressing sense is neither too traditional nor too liberal.I love cooking vegetarian dishes and think of cooking as a good stress buster.

Besides the above, I also love writing... more stories and have also dabbled in theatre. Hiking and travelling also interest me a lot.

I do not drink alcohol and do not smoke.

While I have sampled and liked many cuisines, a good home-cooked Indian vegetarian meal tops the list of favorites for me.

My father is a mining engineer from one of India's premier engineering institutions and handles corporate affairs for a reputed mining company. My mother , a qualified chemistry teacher by profession, has been actively working for a destitute home for some years now. I have a brother who is an engineer and a sister who is a dentist. Ours is a simple, accommodating family with traditional to moderate values.

I am looking for someone who, is grounded (someone who has faced both failure and success with reasonable composure, someone who is not into temper tantrums and frequent foul moods ), has a good sense of humor (please note: being derogatory in the name of wit and sarcasm is not "good humor" to me) and can carry a conversation well. He should have a stable job, be economically independent and be confident of his skills. Humility and Confidence are two qualities that I find really attractive in men.

I am essentially looking for someone who will bond well with my family and whom me and my family can bond well with.

The following are 3 things about myself that I feel strongly about:

1. Economic independence
2. No change of name after marriage
3. Regular following of my prayer and meditation schedule. (I do not expect you to pray and meditate with me but if you are a die-hard atheist who mocks all things God or if you are at the other end of the spectrum with strong emphasis on rituals and expect me to cook 4 offerings a day etc, I would find it tough to get along with you.)

Please think about the above 3 points again. If the answer to any one of them is a "No" from your end, we could connect but we would be better off being friends.

An ideal relationship for me would be one in which I learn something from my partner and he learns something from me. I would want the foundation (of this relationship) to be based on mutual respect and trust. Also, because I believe attraction at first sight can be misleading and fickle, I would want to have extensive conversations and multiple meetings with you. I am most willing to talk about my past and expect you to do the same.
