Asmita & Kumar

19th December, 2011

am a software programmer and I cannot write anything other than technical programs. So writing about the sequence of events happened. I registered myself to shaadi.com in the month of June 2010 and found Asmita\'s profile within a month. I am a religious person so I was looking for somebody who is well educated, religious and Vegeterian. I was also using the Horoscope matching points option in the search when I was expressing interest in the girls only with matching points above 28. This is because I was a divorcee and for my first wedding we didn\'t do horoscope match. So this time we decided to first check the match making points and then only proceed. So I expressed interest in her and she accepted my interest within a couple of days. Initially we sent messages to each other and exchanged our email IDs. Then started sharing our opionions about our ideal partner. She is also a divorcee. So we shared our experiences about our first wedding and discussed about what went wrong. First few days she was very hesitant to talk to me because she has a daughter from her previous partner. She asked me a couple of times about it if I can accept her daughter. I was a bit open to this because I am living in UK for 7-8 years and have seen different people with different cultures here. I even dicussed this with my friends and they also very positive about it. Then we asked each other to verify each other\'s detailed information and decided to verify. So she gave my details to her family friends in UK and then they came to see me. They verified about my job and my address in India and in UK. Then our parents met each other and had a discussion. After this things started to move forward and then I came to India to see her in Jan 2011. Till that time we had never seen each other except in shaadi.com profile photos n some orkut photos. We were already talking to each other through emails and shaadi.com messages and so there was some connection between us and our families also were very positive. Her daughter is also very sweet and she won my parent\'s heart in the first meeting. So we decided to get married in the month of May 2011. I went back to india in May and we fixed the date 2nd May 2011. In last 6 months she resigned from her job, has sorted out her passports and gave an English language exam. Now she would be joining me in UK soon. Thanks, Kumar

Wedding Date: 2nd May, 2011
