Sometime in 2008, I was doing my usual browsing of the matrimonial websites and logged onto Shaadi.com Ramya's profile popped up in the very first few pages and caught my attention. It started off with shooting a "Hi message" to a cute girl with a well written profile. Within a few days it went from exchanging emails to phone calls. And then it all stalled after a few weeks. Things seemed like it wouldn't work out for logistical reasons. This was going to be yet another person I contacted. We stayed in touch however. Via email/chat on and off. We talked rarely but somehow, somewhere both of us remembered that one person we'd spoken to. Fast forward to April 2010. We get back in touch and this time we decided to meet up and give it a shot. Ramya flew from Bangalore to Washington DC to her sister's place. I spent a week at DC and sometime during the first day we spent together, we just knew. I proposed to her at the end of the week and she said yes. We're in the course of setting up our home at Sunnyvale, CA as I type this out! Thanks Shaadi.com for helping us meet. We're indebted.
